What does “coaching for parents” mean? Unlike many programs available to parents, The Gentle Learning Connection isn’t about learning strategies to become a “better parent”. Rather, it is life coaching for parents as individuals who have their own needs, dreams, and goals.

The life of a parent can be wonderful but tough. This is especially true for parents of children with special needs. Parents may feel worried, overwhelmed, angry, resentful or hopeless when their child is struggling. Often the lines between being a parent and being an individual blur as we roll up our sleeves and serve many functions. As a result, personal, social, professional, or relationship needs and goals can take a back seat for months, or years.

When you feel empowered and reconnected with your own identity, goals and values, all areas of your life are affected positively (including parenting!). Self-care and the right mindset are critical to optimize daily life and to help others.

Through our work together, you'll be able to:

  • Find clarity
  • Refine your identity, values and  goals
  • Understanding values and how they can enhance your relationships, personal growth, and overall success
  • Be deeply heard by a fellow parent and professional sounding board
  • Develop new positive ways of thinking
  • Have your ideas reflected back to gain new insight
  • Unlock the potential for yourself
  • Gain clear direction and actionable steps
  • Stay accountable
  • Clear belief and mindset blocks that may be impacting you
  • Realize a successful outcome to your vision and goals

This next step is about aligning your mindset with your inner courage, strength and gifts. When we work together, you will feel empowered as you begin your own journey to self-awareness and ultimate fulfilment.

The Gentle Learning Connection offers private 1:1 sessions (in-person, telephone or zoom), as well as group programs.
